The answer is very complicated and convoluted, having to do with
string theory, particle physics and quantum mechanics.  To boil it
down in a nutshell though: its a new feature, and if its not
sufficient for your needs, then find a solution that is, or create
your own if you are not satisfied with existing solutions.  Other than
that, you can submit a feature request to Google (or pay someone to
code the feature you want).  There are workarounds, and alternatives.
Whining is not a valid option.
