Have a look at http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-api/browse_thread/thread/eb469eb32512c32c/0ab1f9a187cbfeb6 which rambles on a bit, but two key things emerge; An Earth plugin "key" complaint may not be key related. There seems to be a clash between the Earth plugin and the Google search script uds.js Now, you're not explicitly loading the local search script ... but nevertheless your page does loads because you are using the Googlebar.
