Thanks for your reply, Nianwei. In the meantime, I'll stick to custom
controls for rotation until the API can provide this (perhaps V3 will
in future).
As far as the oblique tile generation goes, I have a full 3D dataset
from which I should be able to generate "correct" orthographic
projections ("true" orthophoto) in an offline 3D graphics pipeline.
This should simplify things.
I haven't looked into real detail in the MS stuff, but a Bing rep
assured me that it was possible. At least the naming scheme for their
"bird's eye" tiles is in there. Will report back if I have an example
on this platform :)
