What you are asking for is much more complex to code than you might think, there is no "just an easy answer" for it. For example, it's quite difficult to define an algorithm to detect "weird looking shapes" even if it's an easy concept for the human mind to grasp. You could start by more closely defining what you need ... only rectangles, only convex shapes? It may help if you can say why, is this for geographical territories or something?
