I am trying to bring data into a google map using an xml file..
I have an example of code that works really well..

My problem is generating an XML file from a KML file that I exported
from
GIS data using KMLer or XTools6.0..

I know that a KML file is an XML file.. but with all the different
<tags>
I am not sure how to strip the tags to make it into a cleaner xml..

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this easier?

The number of steps its taking to get data from a shapefile (yes, I am
using ESRI products).. or a feature class into a usable XML file is
making this almost counter productive...

It maybe that since I am still a novice at programming and at using
the GOOGLE API that I just need to learn more..

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Thanks,
Alex
