Hi everyone, My map displays correctly when viewed in Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&num=200&start=185&msa=0&msid=103653241930020329026.0004562e12d0f4b4f0796&ll=5.217778,-126.439971&spn=173.077154,360&z=1
When viewed on my website using the API it displays differently: http://www.vent5.com/Vent5/Route_files/widget1_markup.html I have figured out that the difference occurs where there are sharp angles (corners) in lines on My Map. For example, look at one of the green lines in Australia. Displayed with the API they are incorrectly long, but in My Maps they display correctly. Zoom-in on the corner in the API and you will see how the corner stays the same length at all zoom levels. The corner looks okay zoomed-in, but absurdly long zoomed-out. When zoomed-out all the way the corner stretches across Australia. I have noticed similar occurrences with other people's maps using the API. Does anyone know why there is a difference between displaying the map in My Maps, and displaying the map with the API? Thanks in advance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
