I have been researching this issue for a while and it seems that it is possible to have the map auto zoom to a lat,lng, and zoom level depending on the markers set to the map. However, i have tried a multitude of different uses of the getbounds function and just cannont get it to work.
I have a search filter the the user will use to decide what markers to show on the map - and when the map loads it will return those markers... However, i have to manually set up the coordinates and zoom level for each location - which is obviously a huge pain.
