Hello, I've got a general question about map markers and have searched the group but not found an answer (maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing).
What I want to know is, is it possible to display a unique thumbnail image instead of a normal map marker? I have a database of images that are geocoded and I'd like to display these on a map with the point being marked with the image that is located there. I know, I can put the thumbnail in the information window that appears when a user clicks a point but really need a different approach for this project. Is this possible and if it is, is there going to be a significant overhead to doing it? This database could grow to include a few thousand entries, although at the moment there are only a couple of hundred entries. I know I'll have to use some form of clustering anyway. many thanks, Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
