The article suggest contacting the data supplier directly: http://www.mapds.com.au/AboutMDS/Contactus/tabid/82/Default.aspx > > searching for "Cheltenham, VIC" works as expected, but searching for > "3192" shows us stores 7-10km away. > I've a map which compares geocoding with reverse geocoding for Australian postcodes. First it locates the postcode using the geocoder, then draws a spiral around this point, and uses the reverse geocoder to obtain the postcode for 100 surrounding points. The map labels the points in yellow when the postcodes match, and white if they are different. Then the map will calculate the centroid of the points from the reverse geocoder and compares this with the original point. For postcode 3192, this is a point 6.7km away from the original point returned by the geocoder. http://www.william-map.com/20100410/1/postcode.htm -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
