Most people run with javascript error reporting off in IE.  I
personally always turn it on and am suprised by the number of
comercial sites that have javascript errors in IE.  But agree with you
and I do my best to handle them on my websites.

You might want to check the issues list and add one for this if there
isn't one there already.
