Looks like a CSS clash to me, the + and - zoom buttons and the Google
logo also have pink backgrounds.
I think it's this in your CSS:
#mainContent #contentRight img { padding: 3px; border: 1px solid
#680A2E; background: #FBCAAD; }
Puts a pink background on all images?
The hybrid map is actually two map images on top of each other, the
top with a transparent background, I guess this overrides it.
