I wasn't sure how to adjust the points in real time. They get looked
up out of mysql and mapped when someone looks at the page. This is a
tiny portion of an application & I don't know what the points will be
ahead of time.

You are correct that fixing the points will produce an accurate line.
I just didn't know how.
