You are geocoding hundreds (well, loads: I gave up) of addresses. The geocoder isn't designed to be used like that. Geocode your addresses outside your app and store the coordinates in your database. (That is, geocode the address when it's entered by the user: you only need do it once then). Use the coordinates directly to place the marker, which will be far faster and far more reliable.
