It depends how you are getting your map to display. If you call your
map page with a private address, it will not work. If you are able to
use a 201/8 ip address, or a DNS name, and the key matches whatever
you use, it should work.

On your map page, window.location.host must not return a private ip
address. It must return either a DNS name or a public ip address.

You haven't actually explained exactly what you are doing yet.
