Hi All, 1st off I am not a developer but have been tinkering for days on a script to read twitter hashtags and plot them on a google map (it's become an obsession). However, I am really struggling now as I can not figure out that last part.
the page in question is at http://www.extreme-media.co.uk/help.html I have tried to implement the Ajax search local in order to return better results from a UK postcode, The article was written a while ago by Ton Anthony and can be seen here:- http://www.tomanthony.co.uk/blog/geocoding-uk-postcodes-with-google-map-api/ And have tried to follow most of the examples by Mike Williams on http://econym.org.uk/gmap/ If I use the normal google map api for geocoding the script works fine and populates the infowindows with the correct details, but when using the Ajax API it doesn't e.g if you uncomment line 116 and comment out 117 you'll see what is supposed to happen (postcode should show in the relevant info window. I though this might be down to closure functions but I have tried to use that (best I can) and that doesn't seem to work either. So I am looking for some help/guidance, it may not be down to google api at all more my 'coding' :cough: but I have been tearing my hair out over this and it's starting to bug me beyond all reason.. I am exhausted, please some one help Thanks Lee -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
