he's asking about an HTTP webservice which returns simply a list of
points with which to draw a line which follows roads.
GDirections is only available client-side; there is no webservice. As
such, you get what is returned and must comply with the Terms and show
the result on a map or in the directions panel (or both).
In order to get the points returned, you need {getSteps:true} and that
does return everything, including the detail you don't really want.
