I'm interested in querying google maps to get the tiles for a given lat/long point and a zoom level in a Mercator projection. The application has its own tiles system creation and its intended use is commercial.
Two questions: Is this going to be violating the terms? "9.1 Free, Public Accessibility to Your Maps API Implementation. Your Maps API Implementation must be generally accessible to users without charge. You may require users to log in to your Maps API Implementation if you do not require users to pay a fee." Clients will not pay for the Google Maps feature, but will pay for the application. If it's not violating the terms how can this be done? (Google Static Maps API returns an image with the watermarks and the copyright. Obviously i intend to use the copyright, just not in every tile!!)
