below shows a snippet where the options pass the color of the hilite...
exml = new GeoXml("exml", varmap, "c2020.kml",
{sidebarid:"the_side_bar",sortbyname:false,alwaysinfopop:true,allfoldersopen:true,
iwwidth:130, hilite:{color:"#ffffaa"}});
exml.parse();
note unlike GGeoXml you dont addOverlay to the map you pass the map
variable like varmap above.... and you call parse.
