Hey all, I actually use the google maps API on my development server and have it calculating distances (and putting a polyline between an origin and destination). However, what I would like to do is to combine that with a grid I have in .xls / .txt format. This grid represents the world as well (180 cells x 360 cells). Each cell contains a "1" or a "0". What I would like to do is count the "1"s and "0"s along the polyline.
I am working in Python for the development of the website... Does anyone know if there's a function of Google Maps API that could get me where I want to be or that would get me closer to it at least? Or should I just do the complete coding in Python itself? Thanks for your comments in any case!
