If you have a lot of markers, client side clustering is not the
solution.

You can give a try to our server-side clustering engine service:
Maptimize
We have a new version http://v2.maptimize.com. You can filter markers
without refreshing the page.
It's available as SaaS (freemium) or as a software.

Check out also our demo http://crunchpanorama.com to see how it works.
