The API doesn't provide this functionality, really though, there are various definitions of what constitutes a Zip Code in a specific area, such as: Is the centroid point contained? Is it entirely within? Does it touch? Along with this is the inevitable question as to what a Zip Code (US anyway) looks like as a polygon. Each database is different so the answer to the question "What Zip Codes are within this area?" will also be different.
Here's an example of a web app that uses the centroid approach: http://maps.huge.info/zipcolors.htm -John Coryat http://maps.huge.info http://www.usnaviguide.com http://www.zipmaps.net -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
