I'm looking to start a discussion about using the standard latitude
and longitude in the KML files, but to also include a time coordinate.

Why you ask?

Simple.....so that we have a clear and meaningful way of displaying
time sequences (timelines) of maps. Very handy to overlay the
demolition and construction of new buildings, land usage etc and even
as a Historical Archive for Google Streets. This will come in very
handy for autobiographical maps such as a person' work history or
where famous people have lived over the years, what bars and lounges
Hendrix played in and when and what those areas look like now.

I can discuss this further, but is there any other interest in this
pursuit? If so, please let me know.
