I have an application that maps plants in San Diego county on Google Maps where the user enters the address of a web page that delivers KML. Enter in the box, for example, http://sdplantatlas.org/gmap/mapkml.aspx?g=atriplex
If you call that address in a browser you can see that the KML in the example will produce over 10 folders. But on Google Maps only the last folder is displayed in the left list box and mapped on the map. At one time, all the folders displayed and all items were mapped.
