Thanks It works now I declared original_site at the top with the global vars. Bit of a messy file as the site dates from 2006.
The error does not show in Firebug or IE now, firefox does complain about Error: no element found Source File: http://pc146-56.erg.kcl.ac.uk/london/asp/default.asp Line: 1 Although not sure if this is related.
