Hello. Right now, I have a general Google map, with icons on some cities / towns in our country (31 icons in total)
On the left of the screen, I have a list of the towns in descending order (north to south)... (I'll give you the URL, however our site isn't public as yet)... When you put your curser over the list of towns (left of screen), the background colour changes, (simple javascript / html..) - but the map isn't changed at all.. MAIN QUERY :- I've seen some interactive maps, where you click on an area, & the map background gets highlighted, showing the area / borders the town / city covers... i'm wondering - can this be done by using Google api ? Or is this done by external / other process ? :- if this can be done by Google maps api, can someone advise a tutorial on defining borders etc & making an area within the border highlight. :- Also, is it possible to have 2 highlights in different colours - eg central city, & outer city areas - when you click on an icon, or click the map directly.. -- G Freecycle Auckland :- http://www.freecycle.org/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
