The documentation for the directions service says 23 waypoints (plus start and end gives 25) for premier accounts, 8 waypoints (plus start and end gives 10) for the free api http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/directions/#Waypoints MAX_WAYPOINTS_EXCEEDED indicates that too many waypointss were provided in the request The maximum allowed waypoints is 8, plus the origin, and destination. ( Google Maps Premier customers may contain requests with up to 23 waypoints.) The google engineers said that they would be updating the API documentation Currently all I see is this: MAX_WAYPOINTS_EXCEEDED Too many DirectionsWaypoints were provided in the DirectionsRequest. The total allowed waypoints is 8, plus the origin and destination.
