I've had a play with what I suggested, and have come up with some tweaks to improve it: http://www.acleach.me.uk/gmaps/wojtek.htm Note that your orange Marker 5 is no longer present, and there's a new green Marker 8 at the end of the XML. I suggested removing the markers from the sidebar when you hide a category because it's a better user experience: there's no point in clicking a marker which isn't on the map. But it appears it's actually *necessary* to remove them from the visible list because you can still click on a marker which exists but which has been removed from the map.
