Thanks for your reply. The second link uses a lot of DIVs to create a gradient, and doesn't sounds like a good solution at all! I'll take a look at the example using SVG and VML. I'll ask also on the v3 API group, but in the meanwhile, could you give me a link about extending MVCObject? I didn't find anything!
