I am struggling with a weird KML overlay issue. Have tried all sorts of things in the past months but now I am really running out of ideas.
I am running a website that dumps a MySQL database into a KML file, then overlays it in Google Maps. In the beginning all was working smooth, but at some point it didnt allow me to click the placemarks anymore unless you really zoom in closely. And then it would display always the same ballon - which is the first placemark record in the KML file. Weird is that the MySQL DB and the KML file is correct and also correctly displayed in the GE Plugin. Its only the GMaps windows that show this behaviour. Even weirder is that I use the same code for another application without any issues. Other KMZ files I overlay on the same page work without problems too. One detail: at some point I protected the HTML file with a folder password, which in the meantime I removed. The KML/KMZ files were always in an unprotected folder though. Also, I dont think its a chaching problem as I have added a timestamp to it.
