First think to check is does v3 even have the features you need. (for
example the Earth Map type is not implemented (yet?) )

Then is your site likly to last more than a few years? If so they you
are probably going to have to make the transition at some point.

Then look are there any new features that would actully be worth
using? If they are an added incentive to switch.

If you are just going to reimplement the exact same map in v3, then
its probably not worth it yet (IMHO). v2 is very stable and not likly
to break for a while, whereas v3 is still under heavy development, and
does on occasion break unexpectantly.

... but if there are cool new features you can use, it might be worth the risk.
