The arrows are created by selecting from a set of images by URL,
pointing on different bearings.
If you want them in colours, you need a bigger library with sets of
arrowheads in different colours. So far as I know, Google only have a
set in one colour ; you'd need to make and host your own sets.
You could then pass your chosen colour to the function and use it to
alter the URL of the requested image, along with the bearing.
