Hi,

so, having crashed and burned so spectacularly trying to toggle on/off
arrowheads along with polylines, I had a bit of a rethink and realised
that I only really want to do two things:

a) show/hide polylines AND arrowheads simultamneously by use of a
checkbox
b) have a link that opens an infowindow on the polyline in question.

So I figured I'd go about it the other way - use the categories
method, which already works to show/hide lines and arrows, and turn
the text descriptor for the checkbox into a link which will open the
infowindow.

Which seems simple enough - like I say, the show/hide thing is
working, and I already have an event listener set up that opens an
infowindow when a line is clicked.

The problem is emulating that click from a static link on the page -
ie, telling the line that it is being clicked on, when it is really
the link that is being clicked. I've looked around and most of the
examples shown open infowindows from links in the sidebar that are
dynamically generated by the code.

I was thinking something like:
<a href="javascript:myclick('blue')">Blue line</a>

might do the trick (blue being the category), but obviously that's a
bit simplistic.

I figure there's probably something wrong with my "myclick" function,
but I can't see what it is - firebug tells me that "a" is undefined,
which I assume refers to the polylines, but I'm at a loss as to how to
define it.

My map's here:

Any ideas?

thanks in advance,

Lucas
