fair enough, Rossko. You've been incredibly helpful and informative, so far so I guess I deserved that. I try to emulate the things that work but I'm only vaguely aware of what the various components do, which complicates matters. I'm not lazy about this - I debug on three browsers (because sometimes one will tell you what went wrong where the other two are reporting no errors) - and every post here (and I admit there have ben a few...) represents at least 50 tried and failed uploads. I know it looks like I'm doing the same thing over, but that's the problem with not understanding how something works in the first place - it's very hard to modify it. I guess I should just get myself a javascript book and actually learn about this stuff. Anyway. I'll try to keep my questions API-related in the future. If you want a status report on this particular issue, I believe I have emulated the show() hide () function that was working, but all I managed to do was remove that one arrow that I did have. thanks again for all your help, Lucas -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API V2" group.
