Are you talking about "My Maps" - ie part of Google Maps? If so then you in the wrong place, this group is for the API.
Anyway, when you send a link to them, it will have something like maps.google.de/maps?....&hl=de&... in it. Change it to maps.google.de/maps?....&hl=en&... for example to get Google Maps in English.
