Hello again after a long time! Quite a while back you kind folks
taught me how to create the map seen at
http://lovebunnies.luckypro.biz/01_stuff/roman_holiday/romanholidaymap.html
. Now I would like to add a function to the map.

As you can see, I have a sidebar that highlights and clicks custom
markers. The sidebar will list markers labeled as a particular
"<category></category" in my XML file when a checkbox is chosen from
one of the pop-down menus. What I would like to have happen is
something along these lines:

1. Check the new checkbox (to be added) "Geographical Impossibilities"
2. Have sidebar populated like:

Geographical Impossibilities [header; easy to do with current
Javascript]
Geographical Impossibility No.1: Ann's Embassy [highlighted text to
click]
    1. Palazzo Barberini [not highlighted; no click]
    2. Palazzo Brancaccio [not highlighted; no click]
Geographical Impossibility No. 2: Ann's Night Walk
    1. Piazza Repubblica
    2. via Ruggerio Fauro
etc etc

Every pair of 1 & 2 should have two markers, preferably custom ones --
which I can make-- so that #1 is linked to a #1 marker, and #2 to a #2
marker. Clicking on the text "Geographical Impossibility No.1: Ann's
Embassy" should show two markers. Clicking on the text "Geographical
Impossibility No. 2: Ann's Night Walk" should show two different
markers.

Note that I have the lat/long coordinates for all the markers: I'll be
copying them from markers existing in my current XML.

Come to think of it, it's not strictly necessary to have the un-
highlighted text in the sidebar. I could put that, and a longer
explanation, in the popup windows for the markers.

It would be nice though to have the map zoom to the pairs of markers.

Any suggestions as to how to cobble something like this inot my
existing technology, without having to massively rewrite my
Javascript, would be greatly appreciated!
