Yes. That postcode exists in the Code-Point data. Google's geocoder returns "address": "Westminster, London WC2A 1LR, UK" "PostalCodeNumber" : "WC2A 1LR" "coordinates": [ -0.1111988, 51.5149924, 0 ] I don't know what the issue is. A valid postcode will appear in PostalCodeNumber (and address) as demonstrated here; an invalid postcode will be dealt with as best it can, by successive truncations, as demonstrated with OX3 3NU: "address": "Oxford, Oxfordshire OX3, UK" "PostalCodeNumber" : "OX3" "coordinates": [ -1.2068524, 51.7833040, 0 ] But even then the structure of the data is the same. Note that both results have "Accuracy: 5", which is "Post code (zip code) accuracy" -- with UK postcodes, the actual accuracy is determined by the length of the postcode which is returned in the result. With OX3 3NU, the accuracy is that of the postcode district OX3. With WC2A 1LR, the accuracy is that of that postcode unit. If you can provide a valid postcode which is truncated by the geocoder, I'll revise my opinion :-) BUT it will probably be a new postcode which doesn't yet appear in Google's dataset. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API V2" group.
