hi i am doing a project for a technique of gps so as to enhance the privacy of user wen connected to gps.It hides the user actual position and gets the gob done by using an anonymizer server between an location based server(LBS) and user.we have to build our own LBS and anonymizer. We can only build that wen we get the map data. Also we have want to extract the map details not just graphically but we need to get the inner elements of the map such as in the form objects and nodes that will be helpful for us to perform algorithmic operations and also ordering and structuring... will Google Maps API will be useful for us or we have to build our own maps can any one help us ? are there any tools to build maps ? ?
