The red star generates a permalink and shows it in an info window. I have a parameter named 'lt' (for latitude) which is incorrectly parsed as a 'less than' sign, thus '<=' becomes '<='. Of course I could select a different id for this parameter, like 'lat' or I could create a workaround with '&lt=' ( http://orokseg.net/alappont/map_workaround/index.php?w=630&h=500&d=0<=47.756973&ln=18.533665&z=17&m=N&p=a ) but the good thing would be to have a standards compliant parser in the API :-)) As far as I can tell, the standard clearly states, that a html entity is 'always prefixed by ampersand (&) and followed by a semicolon'. (eg http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/html3/latin1.html) For me this definition says that we do not have an html entity without a semicolon...
