I'd like ot use the Google Places API as a supporting functionaility to an application I'm developing. I will supply GP a GPS and expect to retrieve a list of businesses or places within a specified range (or the business itself if a physical address is supplied). Reading through the documentation, I need a client ID and an authentication string. I'm a bit confused on this matter. Can I generate my own (in which case how does the 'client ID' factor in) or must I pay for Google Places Enterprise?
