I think my problem is the click event ispassing the point clicked, rather than the polygon that was clicked. Somehow when the polygon is clicked I need to pass the polygon itself to the fuhnction called on the click event so that I can get the bounds of the polygon and then set the center of the map to the center of the polygon. As it is now, it just uses the bounds of the final polygon drawn since that is whats in the global variables.
