I'm using the Static Maps API in an iPhone app I'm currently developing. However, I'm experiencing a weird usage limit error when downloading images - but only when WIFI is not available, i.e., when using the phone network (3G etc).
I get the "quota error image" on the first try to download, so there is no way I'm exceeding it. Also, it works without a hitch using WIFI. Any idea what could be going on? Is this because I'm somehow sharing IP with other users on the phone network?
