Maybe more on the server side, but I was hoping someone has seen this issue.
I am migrating a web site from Windows 2003 IIS 6 to Windows 2008 IIS 7.5 and have a problem I believe with the .gpx based files for the Google Maps API. The xml file type .gpx was added to the mime type in IIS 7.5 as text/xml the same as in the old IIS 6 environment, but when you select a link on a web page with the file in IIS 7.5 it triggers a standard popup to open/run the file. In IIS 6 it automatically displays the .gpx in the browser. This I believe is related to the problem with the Google Maps API on IIS 7.5. Here is a page on the original IIS6 server that works. Sorry I don't have a internet facing site with the new IIS 7.5 that is having the problems, but the page looks identical except the red track does not display. Interestingly enough all points and other map data are displayed. Have been beating my head on the wall trying to figure this out...hopefully it's obvious and I'm just missing it. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated! http://www.hikingupward.com/GWNF/HoneQuarryRidge/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API V2" group.
