Hey Andrew,
The word "vegetation" is right because because there are no mangroves
on this island. Mangroves are endangered and marking mangroves on
google maps can lead to problems offline where people use it for
reference.

I have done some investigation over this issue and I have confirmed
the source of this change. Someone named kevin has made this feature
from google map maker which then reflected onto google maps API maps.
I have confirmed this because I have been seeing this space for the
past 2 years. "Mangroves" is a change directed from map maker.

I have already voted for a name change and it has been changed to
vegetation by a google moderator. What Im asking is, when will this
change reflect on maps by mapsAPI ? this question can apply to many
other situations. What if the name of the street I live in has changed
and I vote for a change on map maker but mapsAPI still has the old
info.

My question is very specific, How do i affect the changes made on map
maker to google's api servers ? who do i contact to get this change.
Clearly, when someone marked it as "mangroves" the change got affected
into maps API. I just need the same routine again.

Regards,
rohit
