Hi I am using GMAPv2 API . What my application does is : 1. It accumulates all the Longitude , Latitude , LocationNames of several points together [seperated by a special character say '$$' for e.g "12.947859764099121,77.52628326416016,Location1$$ 12.997400283813477,77.53241729736328,Location2$$ 12.947859764091115,77.52628326416971,Location3$$ 12.997400283811222,77.53241729736777,Location4$$" and so on .... ] . 2. We are fetching it in a js function [say drawRoute() ] and start parsing it [ by splitting the above records by $$ ] and plotting individual coordinates using "polyline" method of google maps .
We are experiencing a freeze in browser , when there are records/ coordinates to be plotted are more than 1000 . IE takes a lot of time [along with some messages asking to Continue/ Stop the script] whereas FF freezes totally for more than 10-15 minutes . Records/Coordinates to be plotted on maps may vary from 50- 5000 . So , is there any workaround to increase the performance and stop browser freezing .
