I am a student from Negros Oriental Philippines, taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and I am currently in my last year in college. Before we can graduate from college we are required to develop software that we will work in two semesters, our project is a mobile tracking system that and it is offline. Our plan is to use Android GPS enabled phone, and it should be v2.2. Our problem is that our school does not have great support to our research. We don't know were to start, but we research topics that would help us complete the application. We are planning to use Google Maps as our mapping tool, and it will be customized such that it will contained detailed information about the places in our locality. We are planning to use it in offline, we will not use internet to get the coordinates from the GPS. We are now finished will our scope and limitation, our problem is the System Analysis and Design, we are not familiar with it's architecture. We need to come up test cases, normalization, DFD, ERD and etc. I know it is our research but with proper guidance we can successfully develop the application. Can you share the topics or diagrams that we need to start our system analysis, like diagrams from GPS to KML to Google map to mobile phone.
