Greetings, I use the Google Geocoding API to get coordinates and address info by postcode from England. I always need to know the administrative area name.
The problem is: When I get address info by the postcode "W1W 6LS" - all is fine. I receive "Greater London" as an administrative area name. The request is: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=json&oe=utf-8&q=w1w%206ls&sensor=true&mapclient=jsapi&hl=en But when I use short postcodes like W1W there is no administrative area name in the result. http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=json&oe=utf-8&q=w1w&sensor=true&mapclient=jsapi&hl=en Why?
