Thanks to all for the very quick replies To Andrew - Thanks for the very informative information. Actually the addresses are really on a server in a dance club database which contains about 900 records. Currently there is no coordinate info in the database (just standard addresses). I was not aware that so much horsepower was required on the google server to geocode. So I am going to redo the database and use a batch geocoder to add in the lat/lng info for each member. The original effort on this was using PHP to pull the addresses and generate the javascript calls. I pulled out all the PHP code and just inserted the generated javascript for the example on the website.
To Barry - I will start over with v3 stuff. I have quite a bit of javascript/php experience but almost none on the google map api (as you can plainly see in my example). I found Mike's tutorial site and went from there. I will abandon the V2 stuff and redesign in V3. Again, thanks to all for the very useful information. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API V2" group.
