No you don't.  The thread from four years ago is about reverse-geocoding by 
coordinates, you are geocoding by name.

Try just "Jonkopings", with o substituted for ö
How are you handling character encoding in your URL?  When using a browser, 
it takes care of that for you.
 
What is Jönköpings, out of interest?  Jönköping seems to be an area, 
Jönköpings*vägen* a road
