Hi all, news to API v3, and have been pulled across because of the new
Directions functionality.

I have a project whereby my client will used a content management
system to enter in a start and end point, plus a set of Waypoints as
part of a tourism oriented itinerary. As long as I have the waypoints
stored in the CMS somewhere, I see that I can add them to a set of
Directions.

My problem comes in, and only form the research I've done on this
group and the API docs, that there's no way of easily changing what
appears on each of the waypoint in regards to the info window.
Ultimately I'd like to display the waypoint's (destination's) name,
brief description and a hyperlink to a another page on the website
that displays detailed information. Would be great to have this
waypoint summary info integrated also into the directions panel.

Is this functionality possible, or am I just out of luck until it's
integrated into the API using some form of XML to parse in the
details.

Please note that my experience with Google Maps API v2 was rather
minimal with this example as my only real integration:

http://www.toptrails.com.au/index.php/trails/#browse-map

If any of you have examples of where you've used Directions under v3
it would be greatly appreciated if you would post them up.

Cheers
Brendan
