Hi All,

I've read that v3 is currently not supporting the autoPan for markers
(panning the map when the marker moves near the borders). This was
raised at http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=946.

I was wondering if it's possible to create an overlayview (like the
custom marker in
http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-samples-v3/source/browse/trunk/overlayview/custommarker.html)
and addDomListeners for mousedown/mouseup/mousemove to "drag" the
marker, and pan the map when it nears the borders. Or is this not a
good idea? Sorry, I'm new to Google Maps API v3. If there are any
references that can help, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
